In SinoCom-ArtM, we define the process of testing
as 4 continuous and closely inter-related phases, each with respective
focuses, as stated below:
Know-How
This phase is for us to have a profound discussion with the client about the
testing project, the final destination is to define the testing scope, detailed
requirements, and get some notice about client's budget and schedule. We will
ensure that all the key success factors of the project are discussed and mutually
agreed, only based on that can we propose the most applicable and cost-effective
test plan.
Preparation
Now, based on the test plan finalized by the 1st phase, we begin to prepare
all the resources required: set up testing environment; build a test team with
the right skill set; define milestones, reporting and monitoring mechanism;
perform necessary risk analysis and ensure that all the test team members get
familiar with the project requirements. Through all these methods, we can ensure
a good start for the Execution phase.
Execution
Now is the time that our meticulous test team exploring your product by editing
and executing test cases. Except all the regular testing defined in the scripts,
our rigorous team can also develop and run specific cases to pinpoint any important
bugs. All the information and findings gathered in this phase will be reported
to the client on a regular basis (daily, weekly or monthly), syncronizing with
client's development process.
Retrospect
As with Know-How phase, Retrospect also involves both our whole test team and
the client, to review the entire project and find out what we can succeed on,
and what we must make improvements. Retrospect is compliant with our commitment
for establishing long-term and mutual-beneficial relationship with clients,
and continuously improving our performance to further saving client's money
and time.
